Springbok Casino loyalty review: what regular play actually earns

Short answer

Springbok's loyalty rewards are thin. You earn 1 comp point per R10 you bet and 100 points = R1, so comps hand back about 0.1% of your turnover, or 0.2% on double-comps games. The 25% cashback on deposits made without a bonus is worth far more, and the VIP groups its terms mention have no published tiers or entry rules.

Springbok Casino loyalty rewards at a glance

Springbok has no points shop, no tier ladder and no published VIP club. What it does have is a fixed comp-point rate, a double-comps tab in the lobby, cashback on losing deposits made without a bonus, and a few inbox-only extras. Here is each one, with where the statement comes from.

Two things stand out. Only comp points and cashback have fixed, published values; everything else varies by month or is not published at all. And the most generous figure in the table, 40% cashback, belongs to a VIP group that nobody outside Springbok can define.

Comp points: what they are worth in rand

The comp rate is set in the terms: 1 comp point per R10 you wager, and 100 points = R1 when you redeem. Every R1,000 of bets earns 100 points, worth R1. Put another way, comps return about 0.1% of your turnover, whether you win or lose.

R100,00010,000R100R200

You redeem points in the cashier's Redeem Comps section from a minimum of 100 points, which takes R1,000 of bets to reach. A Springbok loyalty article adds that comp points never expire and that redeemed comp credit carries no playthrough. Neither promise appears in the terms, and the terms' inactive-account clauses can void a balance, so redeem points rather than bank them.

Worked example
A R200 first deposit with SPRINGBOK100 adds a R200 match. Clearing it at 30x takes R12,000 of bets, which earns 1,200 comp points: R12. To earn the R3,000 cashback maximum in comps instead, you would have to bet R3,000,000.

For a points-to-rand converter and redemption walkthrough, springbokscasino.com's comp points guide does the sums in more detail.

Double comps: the 2X tab and Game of the Month

Two routes double the rate to 2 points per R10, about 0.2% of turnover. The lobby's 2X Double Comps tab lists a rotating handful of slots; on 9 October 2026 it held Olympus Thunderhold, Buffalo Mania Deluxe and Triple Tigers. The selection changes, so check the tab rather than relying on any list, this one included.

The terms add that the monthly Game of the Month earns double comps, one point per R5 wagered. The featured game and its inbox coupons change every month, and Springbok announces them in articles and players' inboxes rather than on its promotions page.

Doubling a small rate still leaves a small rate. On R10,000 of bets, the difference between an ordinary slot and a double-comps slot is R10. Choose a game for its rules, return to player and volatility, not for its comp multiplier; the games chapter covers what the lobby actually holds.

Cashback reviewed: the perk worth reading closely

Cashback is the one loyalty reward that can return real money. Springbok's promotions page offers 25% back on deposits you lose in full, as long as you took no bonus on them. The conditions listed there:

  • You claim it by contacting support; it is not paid automatically.
  • The maximum is R3,000, reached at R12,000 of lost deposits.
  • Cashback carries 10x playthrough on slots, keno, bingo and scratch cards; other games vary.
  • Your balance must be R0–R10 when you claim, and deposits up to 90 days back count.
  • There is no maximum payout on what the cashback goes on to win.

The terms describe the same offer a little differently: 25% for regular players and 40% for VIP players, a balance under R10, and deposits up to 3 months back. The two versions agree in substance. The VIP rate is the part nobody can plan around, because the VIP groups are not defined anywhere public.

Worked example
You deposit R1,000 without a coupon and lose it. Cashback returns R250, which you play through 10x: R2,500 of bets on eligible games before it can be withdrawn. Taking the first welcome coupon on the same deposit instead would have added R1,000 but needed R60,000 of bets, and that deposit would then not qualify for cashback.

So the choice on each deposit is a bonus or cashback eligibility, never both. Cashback is a partial refund of money already lost, not a reason to deposit again. If you notice yourself depositing to "earn" it back, that is the moment to set a limit.

VIP: a programme on paper only

The T&Cs refer to VIP players and VIP groups (more comp points, 40% cashback) and the /online-casino page mentions 'a rewarding VIP program', but article 2665 says Springbok 'has no tier system'. No VIP tiers or criteria are published.

That leaves three things a Springbok VIP might receive, none with published criteria:

  • A higher comp rate by VIP group, according to the terms, with no group rates published.
  • 40% cashback instead of 25%, again according to the terms.
  • Inbox offers, including a monthly high-roller coupon that Springbok says goes to large depositors. Its terms change each month and the current code is not public.

Our reading: treat VIP treatment at Springbok as discretionary. Never raise your deposits to qualify for a status with no published rules. If you already play at high stakes, ask support in writing which group your account is in and what that changes, and keep the reply.

Lucky 7, birthday bonuses and slot tournaments

Lucky 7

On the 7th of each month Springbok sends a Lucky 7 code by email and to the casino's message centre: a 100% bonus up to R777 for the first 77 players to redeem it. No separate wagering is published, so the terms' default for deposit coupons, 30x the deposit plus the bonus, would apply unless the email says otherwise. A first-come offer rewards speed, not loyalty; it is no reason to deposit on the 7th if you were not going to play anyway.

Birthday bonus

The T&Cs list birthday bonuses among free bonuses (5x max cashout; redeem within one month of the birth date); no amount is published. One Springbok article calls birthday surprises "not a given". Treat any birthday credit as a gift with a 5x cashout cap, not an entitlement.

Slot tournaments and freerolls

Springbok says it runs daily slot tournaments and monthly freerolls, but its own pages disagree on where: two say the download casino, while newer pages say there is no download. The lobby's Tournaments tab showed nothing to a logged-out visitor. Until a tournament appears in the browser lobby, count it as unconfirmed. The discrepancies log tracks this contradiction and the VIP one.

Refer a Friend

The lobby menu has a Refer a Friend item, but no programme terms were public when we checked.

Loyalty rewards and your limits

Loyalty schemes reward turnover, which is the number you most want to keep under control. Comp points and cashback both grow with how much you bet and lose, not with how well you play. Springbok's responsible gaming page says you can ask support for a daily or monthly deposit limit, or a self-exclusion period of at least one month. Set the limit before you deposit and get the confirmation in writing.

The verdict

Our verdict on Springbok's loyalty rewards

Springbok's loyalty offer is a fixed 0.1% comp rate, a cashback offer with real value after a losing no-bonus deposit, and a VIP layer that exists only in passing references. That is honest enough on paper and thinner than the marketing suggests. If you choose Springbok, choose it for the games and the welcome offers, not for long-term rewards. The bonus chapter values each coupon after wagering, the terms chapter lists the clauses that can void a balance, and the full review puts it all together.

Questions readers ask

Are comp points worth chasing at Springbok?

100 points = R1, and you earn 1 comp point per R10 wagered, so comps return about 0.1% of your turnover (0.2% on double-comps games). R10,000 of bets earns R10.

Does Springbok Casino have a VIP programme?

Not one you can join or plan for. The terms mention VIP players and groups with extra comps and 40% cashback, but no tiers or criteria are published, and a Springbok article says there is no tier system.

Do Springbok comp points expire?

Springbok says they do not, in a loyalty article rather than in its terms. The terms do let Springbok void balances on long-inactive accounts, so redeem your points before a long break.

Can I get Springbok cashback after using a bonus?

No. The 25% cashback applies only to deposits made without a bonus, and you claim it through support with a balance of R0–R10.
