How to read the ledger

Every Springbok figure on this site points back to a row in this ledger. Each row has four parts: what the record says, its status, the source page and the date that page was read. The evidence chips after figures elsewhere on the site open the same information.

A status describes where a statement comes from, not whether it is true. A verified bonus figure can change next month, and an operator claim may well be accurate. The label tells you how much weight a statement can bear.

Where the facts come from

The 64 rows cite 25 different addresses on Springbok's site and lobby. The Terms & Conditions supply the most rows, 21 in all, which is why that document has a chapter of its own.

Rows drawn from articles and press releases are marked as Springbok's claims, or as conflicts where they contradict another Springbok page. A row from the terms can still be a conflict when two clauses in the same document disagree, as the inactive-account rules do.

What the ledger leaves out, and why

• Jackpot amounts. The live jackpot tickers on two Springbok pages showed different totals minutes apart, so no amount is recorded.Verified source
• Codes nobody has published. Game of the Month and high-roller coupons go to players' inboxes. The ledger does not guess them from past patterns.Springbok says source
• The logged-in cashier. Payment methods and limits inside the cashier were not inspected, because that needs an account; Springbok's own descriptions of it are recorded as its claims.Springbok says source
• Claims by other sites. Third-party statements about Springbok are not recorded as fact unless one of Springbok's own pages says the same.
• Player reports. Forum posts and reviews on other sites are not evidence of how Springbok treats an account; the comparison of other review sites covers what they claim.

Game specifications such as return to player and volatility are kept in a separate register and are not part of this ledger.

The promotions register

Offers sit in a register of their own because they change month to month. Each entry has a code (or none), the offer in Springbok's terms, the wagering and cashout limits, and the date it was read. An offer with an end date is hidden in your browser once that date has passed, and taken out of every page when the site is next rebuilt.

How the ledger is kept current

1. Read again on a schedule. Springbok's promotions are read again at least once every 30 days, and a monthly code is taken off the site on the day its validity ends.
2. Change the register, not the page. Figures on this site are drawn from the register, so one correction updates every page that uses it. If a figure no longer matches its source wording, the site will not build until someone re-reads the source.
3. Log it. Corrections and offer changes go into the changelog with their date.
